HR Experts Named Russian Couriers’ Average Salaries

Couriers have become one of the heroes of the coronavirus year. That is why experts of the Rabota.ru job search service decided to conduct a study and find out which cities of the country have the best offers for couriers.

According to the results of the study, in the period from March 2020 to February 2021, the demand for walking couriers was highest in Moscow (28 per cent of all courier vacancies in the country). St. Petersburg took the second place (10 per cent). About 2 per cent of vacancies are also posted in Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, and Yekaterinburg.

The salary of a walking courier often depends on the chosen work schedule of a specialist and the number of completed orders. On average, in Moscow and St. Petersburg, such specialists are offered a salary of up to 56 thousand rubles a month. It is noted that among Russians who are ready to earn extra money in addition to their main activity, 10 per cent chose the work of couriers.

Experts stated that the majority of applicants for the position of walking courier are male (35 per cent versus 15 per cent of female applicants). However, it should be noted that 50 per cent of service users did not mention their gender. Also, jobseekers aged 18-24 are more often interested in vacancies for walking couriers (36 per cent). Applicants aged 25 to 35 account for 23 per cent of CVs, candidates aged 36-45, for 13 per cent, and Russians aged 46-65, for 12 per cent.
