The theme of the ice town 2020 on Mikhailovskaya Embankment in Novosibirsk is the Jungle in Siberia.
“In the ice space sculptures will be presented on the warmest associations of the tropics! The variety of tropical flora and fauna represented in the figures made of ice, in contrast, will complement the Siberian winter activities that are already beloved by the townspeople – an ice labyrinth and ice slopes,” the town administration reports.
The architects presented the traditional spiral slide in the form of a lighthouse on the ocean. There are also giant slides with a slope of about 70 meters and a height of about 11 meters. To get down from the most extreme, you need to stand in line. Riding in the ice town is allowed only on the ice, no “doughnuts” and other high-speed sleighs. You can rent ice cubes right on the spot.
The work of the Ice Town Attraction will begin at the end of December 2019 and will last until March 2020. The entrance is paid. The benefits of visiting the Ice Town Attraction include free admission for children under 7 years old.
