International Russian Language Festival to Be Held in Moscow

Foreign schoolchildren, starting from the seventh grade, who study Russian as a foreign language or as a second native language, were invited to participate in the annual International Festival of the Russian Language. 

It is noted that over the past year, the number of festival participants has doubled, according to the official website of the Moscow Mayor. The director of the Moscow Centre of Quality of Education, Marianna Lebedeva, representatives of more than 40 countries have taken part in the event.

As part of the festival, the competitions will take place on such topics as “Experts in the History and Culture of Russia”, “Theatrical Creativity”, “Contemporary Arts and Crafts and Fine Arts”, “Artistic Word”, “Vocal and Choral Creativity”, “Children and Youth Film and Television”, as well as “Choreographic Creativity”.

It is specified that the distance qualifying round will be held from April 20 to June 1, and the final one from September 1 to October 1. In addition, a final face-to-face event is planned for November-December 2021, which will take place if restrictions in connection with the coronavirus are lifted.
