KAMAZ Trucks First Batch Presented to Russian Post

The President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, took part in the solemn ceremony of handing over the first batch of KAMAZ cars. In total, more than 500 Kamaz trucks will be delivered to the postal service of Russia during 2020-2022. The cars were received by the General Director of Russian Post Maksim Akimov, KazanFirst reports.

It is noted that to date, a total of 15 vehicles were handed over to the Russian Post. The first batch of the vehicles (10 KAMAZ-5325 vehicles, 3 KAMAZ-5490 trucks, and 2 newest flagship mainline KAMAZ-54901 trucks) was handed over for testing for up to half a year, as well as receiving feedback. It is specified that the resource has been increased to 1,200,000 km.

The KAMAZ-54901 semitrailer truck is a new-generation long-haul truck, which is equipped with a new cab with increased space inside and two berths. It is noted that the new generation KAMAZ R6 engine has a capacity of 450 horsepower, as well as an automatic 12-speed gearbox of the new generation ZF Traxon and a carrying capacity of up to 25 tonnes.
