The Kamchatka Territory received more than 11 million rubles from the federal budget for the creation of the first digital education centre. Its opening is scheduled for September 2021, TASS reports with reference to the director of the regional Centre for Children’s and Youth Technical Creativity Andrey Yukhin.
It is noted that last year the Kamchatka Territory participated in a federal competition for the creation of such a centre and was included in the number of winning regions, which received a subsidy from the federal budget for the opening of an educational institution of this type.
“The name of the centre, ‘IT-Cube’, was not chosen by chance: this geometric figure has six faces, and our guys will study in six directions of programming,” Yukhin said.
It is planned that the first enrollment of students will begin training in the “IT-Cube” in such areas as “Programming in Python”, “Mobile Development”, “Development of VR/AR Applications”, “System Administration”, “Fundamentals of Java Programming”, and “Cyberhygiene and Working With Big Data”.
