The volume of investments made in Karelia in the first year of the federal programme of social and economic development of the republic amounted to 2.8 billion rubles, TASS reports.
It is noted that the government of the Russian Federation has approved an individual programme of socio-economic development of Karelia for 2020-2024 and will allocate 5 billion rubles from the federal budget for its implementation. At the end of 2020, the programme also created 182 new jobs, with the final figure to be achieved by 2024, in almost 1.7 thousand jobs.
In 2021, it is planned to start construction of the first robotic dairy farm in Karelia. In 2022, the construction of a winter sports cluster will begin in Petrozavodsk, and almost 1.3 billion rubles will be spent on the construction of industrial buildings on the territory of a city industrial park. In addition, at the end of 2020, assistance was provided to five enterprises operating in the field of food production and woodworking, in the amount of 373.8 million rubles.
