The IKEA retail chain and Mega shopping centre will take part in assisting Kazan medical institutions that are struggling with the spread of coronavirus.
The first batch of furniture for the equipment of infectious wards, as well as building materials, has already arrived in Kazan city hospital. The next deliveries are planned for next week. Doctors treating patients with coronavirus will receive from Mega and IKEA “Boxes of Care”.
In addition to furniture, as part of charitable assistance, hospitals will receive bedding and other goods from the IKEA assortment for equipping infectious wards and rooms for doctors who work around the clock. Kazan families who are in a difficult situation will also be given food packages. The purchase of sports equipment is expected for 19 families with children with disabilities.
