On Russia Day at 11 stations of Kazan metro and on video monitors in trams and trolleybuses, you can see greetings and listen to the poems dedicated to Russia.
Audio recordings of poems performed by Tatarstan artists, as well as songs about Russia performed by the chamber choir can be heard at all stations of the Kazan metro from 6 am 12 am. The action includes Kazan, Almetyevsk, Nizhnekamsk, and Naberezhnye Chelny. Among songs, there are “Can’t Stop Loving Russia”, “Steppe”, and “Kalinka”. The poems list includes Russian classical poetry performed by outstanding artists of Tatarstan, namely “Native Land” by A. Akhmatova, “Russia” by K. Balmont, “Motherland” by K. Simonov, “Feather-Grass Sleeps” by S. Esenin, “For Motherland’s Happiness” by F. Karim, “I Am Yours” by N. Nekrasov, and “My Country” by M. Lermontov.
