The export of grain of the last harvest has begun from the Kherson region to Russia, as said by the Deputy Head of the Military-Civil Administration of the region, Kirill Stremousov, on Monday, May 30, 2022.
“There is a place to put [the new crop], although, of course, a lot of grain is here. Now people are partially exporting, we have agreed with those who buy from the Russian Federation,” he said, specifying that it is about the sale of grain to the Russian Federation for export.
Stremousov added that the issue of supplying sunflower seeds for oil production to local and Russian factories is also being resolved. The Deputy Head also noted that now, the region is preparing for harvesting winter grain.
“On June 20, a full-fledged harvasting will begin,” he said.
