In January 2021, 21,857 LADA passenger cars and light commercial vehicles were sold in Russia, which is 0.3 per cent more than in January 2020, the press service of the car manufacturer reports.
Traditionally, the most popular among buyers were LADA Granta and LADA Vesta, of which 7,720 and 6,347 cars were sold, respectively. Also, the sales of the LADA Niva Legend 2004 car increased significantly (+26.5 per cent in comparison to the sales in January 2020). In the commercial LADA segment, 1,015 vehicles were sold, which is 49.5 per cent higher than the same figures in January 2020.
It is noted that the LADA XRAY family became even more popular, of which 1,587 cars were sold, which is 28.1 per cent more than in January 2020. Such an increase can be explained by the fact that people began to travel outside the city more often, so they needed cars to go on a long country trip.
