The cliff above the river Oka in the city park of culture and recreation, where an old-style gazebo now stands, was named “Turgenevsky Berezhok” in the last century. It is believed that it was from this place, that Turgenev, as a child, looked at skies and earth, thought about the great things, and perished his love for the Motherland.
Residents and guests of the city of Oryol are invited on September 18 to get acquainted with the amusements of the XIX century, have a royal dinner and participate in a literary quiz and a master class on painting gingerbread.
