On January 28, in the Moscow Central Exhibition Hall “Manege” opens the exhibition “Salvador Dali. Magical art”. Visitors have a chance to see the masterpieces of the greatest surrealist until March 25, reports the official website of Moscow Manege.
More than 180 paintings by Salvador Dali were brought to the exposition. Such a great amount of his works at once have never been presented in Russia before. The exhibition space occupies an area of seven thousand square meters.
“I am glad that we can show the works of the greatest surrealist to our viewers. We managed to organize an exhibition that no one had previously held in Russia,” said Vladimir Voronchenko, director of the Faberge Museum.
The preparation of the event took more than two years. One of the central works of Dali which arrived in Moscow is “Soft Self-Portrait with Fried Bacon”, created in 1941. Nearby are portraits of his wife Gala, and friends of the artist.
