Residents of Magnitogorsk got a chance to be examined on an ultra-precise computer tomograph bought by the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works for the Central Clinical Health Unit, chelTV reports.
It is noted that on the previous device doctors spent from 20 to 30 minutes on the examination, while on the new device depending on the pathology it takes from 10 to 20 minutes. This ultramodern system makes it possible to carry out conventional X-ray diagnostics, and to examine in detail complex injuries, and even heart diseases. It is also stated that 60 people can be examined on such a tomograph per day. It is emphasized that even patients whose weight is more than 200 kilogrammes can be examined. It is planned in the next 5 years that the plant’s management intends to update the diagnostic arsenal of the entire hospital.
