Mandatory marking of perfumes, cameras, tires and other items comes into force in Russia from December 1. The corresponding order is published on the official website of the government of the Russian Federation.
The document also indicates some types of clothing, including coats, raincoats, jackets, windbreakers, blouses, as well as bedding. This list of goods was formed taking into account the peculiarities of the market conditions and conditions of trade in the respective markets.
The goal of this decision was to reduce the turnover of counterfeit goods in Russia.
For marking, a two-dimensional code is used in the Data Matrix format. It contains product data such as name, manufacturer, date, time and place of release.
It is worth noting that in Russia the first to be labelled were tobacco products and shoes. From January 1, 2020, drug labelling will become mandatory in the country and finished dairy products on June 1, 2020.
