Civil marriage is a form of relations when people love together without official registration of their marriage. The results of a survey conducted by the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion showed that the largest number of citizens who prefer this form of relationship is young people under the age of 34 years.
Unregistered relationships are the least popular among citizens 60 years and older. In this age category, only 5 per cent of respondents voted for such kind of marriage. To date, 52 per cent of Russians are officially married, most often these are citizens between the ages of 35 and 44, Interfax reports.
