In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the production of meat and milk has increased, according to the Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources Nikolay Denisov, the regional government portal reports.
It is specified that last year, farms produced 574.3 thousand tonnes of milk, which is 4.2 per cent higher than in 2019. The meat was produced, compared to the same 2019, by 2.9 per cent more (147.1 thousand tonnes). The Minister also noted that the gross production of products is increasing due to the growth of animal productivity and the implementation of investment projects. He recalled that in 2020, 18 livestock farms were built and reconstructed areas of the region, which required 1.5 billion rubles of federal and regional subsidies.
