Megacities Residents Show Increased Interest in Art During Self-Isolation

During the self-isolation regime, residents of megacities began to communicate more, engage in sports, and became interested in art, said the Moscow anthropologist Daria Radchenko, Moslenta reports.

According to Radchenko, Russians now more often watch opera and ballet performances, and listen to classical music, since there is no way to do ordinary things. The expert noted that this increase happened due to people’s desire to preserve their dignity and use the highest quality cultural product. Radchenko added that holding online performances may also continue after the cancellation of the self-isolation regime.
