MegaFon company launches the MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) project with the participation of local Internet providers. The virtual operator model will complement the company’s own infrastructure.
The business model provides MegaFon’s monthly payments to the partner operator for each connection, so the local player can monetize the already built but not used port capacity by 30-50% more efficiently. MegaFon takes on advertising support for the project, accepting payments, servicing customers in your account and in your own communication stores, selling branded Wi-Fi routers and set-top boxes, reports 1Rnd.ru.
The first partner of MVNO MegaFon was Real, one of the largest operators in the Astrakhan region, serving more than 180 thousand households. Residents of the region can now connect to a new line under the MegaFon brand, which includes home Internet at speeds up to 300 Mbps, up to 236 channels of the MegaFon TV digital service, unlimited mobile Internet, various options for voice traffic packages and cloud storage MegaDisk for 1 TB.
