Moscow Authorities Help Foreigners Return Home

The Moscow authorities have helped in returning home more than 10.6 thousand foreigners since the beginning of the high-alert regime, the official website of the Moscow Mayor reported.

The Department of Regional Security and Anti-Corruption of Moscow interacted with diplomatic institutions of other countries and has assisted the embassies and consulates of 11 countries in organizing 36 export flights from Moscow. It is specified that over 10.6 thousand foreign citizens were sent home, most of whom are young children, pregnant women, elderly people, people with disabilities, and people with serious illnesses. It is noted that there were received several tens of thousands of requests by foreigners about the desire to return to their homeland, so the Department promises to keep supporting them during the difficult situation provoked by the COVID-19 pandemic.
