Moscow Exchange Trading Volume Showed Growth in September

The total trading volume in all markets of the Moscow Exchange in September 2020 increased by 27.8 per cent compared to the same period in 2019 and amounted to 86.5 trillion rubles, 1prime reports.  

It is specified that the best dynamics was demonstrated by the stock market (+89.3 per cent), the derivatives market (+55.9 per cent), the bond market (+46.4 per cent), the money market (+31.4 per cent), the foreign exchange market (+19.1 per cent), and the spot currency market (+61.4 per cent).

It is noted that in March 2020, the total trading volume in all markets of the Moscow Exchange rose to a historical record and amounted to 98.8 trillion rubles, thus, approached the volume of the annual Russian GDP, which amounted to 110 trillion rubles in 2019. The total trading volume in all markets of the Moscow Exchange in April 2020 increased by 15.9 per cent compared to the same period last year and amounted to 85.5 trillion rubles.
