Moscow Launches Educational Programme for Creative Business

The ‘MBM’ Startup School opens a new direction for entrepreneurship training. In 2021, training will be held for representatives of the creative industries, TASS reports with reference to the press service of the Moscow Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development. 

“Creative industries are an important and dynamically developing sector of the Moscow economy. About half a million people already work in it. To further support this area, we decided to launch a practice-oriented educational programme. Classes will be held throughout the year,” the Deputy Mayor of Moscow, Natalia Sergunina, said.

According to Sergunina, classes of the first stream will begin on April 19, 2021. An application can be submitted on the project page until April 18. Training will be held in full-time format; participation is free. It is specified that the course consists of 10 modules, such as team building, business planning, marketing, sales, and others. The trainees will develop the participants’ entrepreneurial skills, as well as test and the idea of ​​their startups.

It is noted that the organizer of the course is the city project “Small Business of Moscow” (MBM), which provides entrepreneurs with free consulting and educational support. Along with full-time, online classes “MBM Startup Schools” are also planned for representatives of creative industries. The course of study will end with a business game “Preparing and Defending a Creative Business Project”. As a result of the training, graduates will receive certificates.
