Documents and photographs concerning the life and work of the first cosmonaut, Yuri Gagarin, were presented by his birthday, on March 9. The exhibition opened in the Moscow Main Archive, the official website of the Moscow Mayor reports.
For example, postcards about the first flight into orbit and a photograph signed by Gagarin are gathered in the personal collections of designers Vladimir Barmin and Nikolay Pilyugin, as well as design engineer Georgy Vetrov. There are also see pictures of Gagarin with party and military leaders, and fellow cosmonauts.
There are also photographs of Gagarin at various meetings with cultural figures. Collectors transfer many things and documents to the Main Archive. Guests of the exhibition will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the unique items of the Great Patriotic War.
