Moscow Received International Award for Urban Development Achievements

Moscow became the laureate of the International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP) award for achievements in urban development, which confirms that Moscow is one of the modern world leaders in implementing the latest digital practices and creating a smart city ecosystem.

According to the deputy mayor of Moscow, Natalya Sergunina, the city project “Digital Twin” received the award “For High Achievements in the Field of Urban Development”. This is an interactive 3D model of Moscow with buildings and engineering systems, which allows planning the integrated development of the city, analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of certain solutions.

The project is based on a photogrammetric model of the city and an archive of panoramas of Moscow streets. The visual picture using BIM technology is complemented by the detailed characteristics of each building entered in the programme.
