In 2020, city dwellers purchased twice as many land plots for individual housing construction as in the period of 2019, and also saved about 70 million rubles. The purchased plots are located in the east, northeast, southeast and west of the capital of the country, as well as in New Moscow.
Due to the privilege introduced in April 2020, Muscovites are able to purchase land from the city for 40 per cent of the cadastral value, according to the deputy mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov. As he noted, since the beginning of 2020, individuals have bought 38 land plots from the city, the total area of which is 3.3 hectares. It is stated that within eight months, residents of Moscow purchased 30 plots at a discount and were able to save 69.6 million rubles, reports the official website of the Moscow Mayor.
