Moscow schoolchildren received five medals at the International Olympiad in Linguistics, according to the official website of the mayor of the city. The gold medal was received by Elvira Ageeva from the School of the Centre for Pedagogical Excellence.
The silver medal was taken by Alexandra Limonova from school No. 1568 named after Pablo Neruda, Artem Borisov from the “Second School” Lyceum, and Olga Zinovyeva from school No. 179. Ilya Tarasov from the school of the Centre for Pedagogical Excellence received the bronze medal.
It is noted that the International Olympiad in Linguistics has been held since 2003. This year, the host country of the competition was Latvia. The competition was held online from July 19 to July 24, 2021. Teams from more than 30 countries took part in the educational competition. The Russian national team has already won seven medals.
