Muscovites Showed Interest to Detective Stories and Comedy Books

After lifting the restrictions, Muscovites began to become more interested in literature with light content, as well as in detectives and comedies, the Radio Govorit Moskva reports with reference to the library named after A. N. Tolstoy. 

“According to preliminary results of the first day of the library’s work, detectives are of most interest to readers, often they ask for authors like Michelle Bussey, Yu Nesbe, Mary Torjussen, Agatha Christie,” said the library employee.

According to Tatyana Mikhailova, the Deputy Head of the Library and Information Services Department of the Russian State Library, Muscovites also pay attention to scientific literature, especially students do. She said that basically, they take non-fiction and educational literature to refine their monographs.
