A pupil of the 9th grade, Maksim Gromakov, developed an antenna installation that will increase the accuracy of human detection using a quadrocopter. The invention can be used in the search for people lost in a forest or city, Moscow Mayor official website reports.
The device can improve the quality and range of communication, so it can facilitate the work of volunteers. As Gromakov explained, representatives of the Lisa Alert search squad contacted him at the end of 2019. Maksim said that preparations are underway for field testing of the device.
The boy is fond of robotics, he won 3 times at the Moscow Robotics School Olympiad, became the first in the robotic competency competition, won the Eurobot international robotics competitions (France, 2019), and won the Moscow Masters Open Skill Championship by standards WorldSkills Russia in the “Mobile Robotics Junior” in 2018.
