The total turnover of trade and service enterprises in Moscow amounted to 920 billion rubles in January 2021, which is 9.3 per cent more compared to the same period last year, TASS reports.
According to the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations, Vladimir Efimov, the turnover of companies operating in the field of trade and services increased from February 1 to February 23, 2021, by 19.3 per cent compared to the last year. In particular, the turnover of trade enterprises increased by 21.9 per cent and service enterprises by 17.4 per cent.
In addition, the city authorities exempted shopping centres and trade enterprises from paying property contributions for a period of downtime. To date, the amount of soft loans received exceeds 95 billion rubles. Earlier, the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia, Tatyana Ilyushnikova, said that preferential rates on loans will also be retained for small businesses for the entire current year which helped 98 per cent of business representatives to maintain employment.
