The course of military journalism is being created at one of the faculties of the Lomonosov Moscow State University in order to teach students to cover military topics professionally. This was announced by a member of the Union of Publishers of the Guild of Periodicals Publishers, General Director of the Argumenty i Fakty Publishing House Ruslan Novikov, on Thursday, as part of the Interregional Forum of Mass Media “Yenisei.RF-2022”, which takes place in Krasnoyarsk on October 27-28, 2022.
“Teaching at the journalism faculty is constantly being transformed. We spoke with Vartanova [Dean of the Faculty of Journalism] about the fact that a course of military journalism is currently being created. The course of military journalism is very necessary now. We have someone to bring to it and show, demonstrate how it is done professionally and why it is done this way. The education system needs to be changed,” Novikov said.
He also highlighted the need for state support in terms of subsidies for the promotion of domestic brands in the media. According to him, such financing is provided only for television media, so it is necessary to extend it to other media.
“It is necessary that these measures of the program be extended to the print press, electronic media, and radio. With the help of such measures, it is possible to help domestic producers enter the advertising market for less money,” Novikov stressed.
