As part of the “Culture” national project, a multimedia guide with augmented reality technology was used in the Tchaikovsky House-Museum, the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Moscow region reports.
It is specified that the introduction of a multimedia guide will allow visitors to learn a lot about the exhibits of the house where Pyotr Tchaikovsky spent the last year and a half of his life. To use the services of a guide, you need to download the “Artefact” free application, go into it and download the “House of P. I. Tchaikovsky” exhibition, and then press the “Augmented Reality” button, after which point the camera of your device at the QR code from the guide, which can be obtained from the memorial house on the ground floor. To date, 40 exhibits of the memorial house are already available in the application, including portraits and photographs of Tchaikovsky’s relatives and friends.
It is noted that within the framework of the “Culture” national project, the Tchaikovsky House-Museum became the fifth Moscow Region museum to use a multimedia guide with augmented reality technology. Today, using the “Artefact” application, you can also visit the Zaraisk Kremlin Museum-Reserve, the Serpukhov History and Art Museum, the New Jerusalem Museum and Exhibition Complex, and the A. P. Chekhov “Melikhovo” Museum.
