Muscovites chose names for the goatlings, which were recently born at the Moscow City Farm. The kids were named after the astronaut dogs Zvezdochka and Veterok (“Star” and “Wind”), who travelled to space in 1961 and 1966.

The names for the animals were chosen on the Instagram-Page of VDNKh. There was a vote in which anyone could participate. The subscribers offered many options, such as Marta and Mart (“march”), Gerda and Kai, Romeo and Juliet, Gayechka and Vintik (“nut” and “screw”), Zefir and Pastila (“marshmallows” and “pastille”), Korzhik (“cake”) and Caramel, Kolos and Grechka (“ear” and “buckwheat”).
At the moment, the goatlings live in a separate aviary under the supervision of specialists. The farm is inhabited by raccoons, donkeys, deer, alpaca, nutria, rabbits, sheep, and birds, the official website of the Moscow Mayor reports.
