Muscovites Invited to Online Meetings With Writers

Moscow libraries are launching a series of virtual meetings with Russian poets, translators, journalists, writers, and critics. In total, there will be 13 meetings in October 2020, the official website of the Moscow Mayor reports. The meetings will be broadcast live on Instagram pages and on YouTube channels of the libraries. 

The first meeting will be with the journalist and writer, Mikhail Lukashevich, on October 7. On the platform of the children’s library No. 46 named after Surikov, the guest will tell about the peculiarities of children’s poetry and the translation of foreign poetry from German, English, French, and Scottish.

The topic of journalism and its influence on literary creativity will be discussed with the writer, Evgeny Babushkin, on October 15 from a library no. 48. The same Instagram-account will broadcast another speaker Tatyana Solovyova. Listeners of her lecture will learn how editorial staff select works for publication.
