For the first time since the last century, mute swans flew to Krugloye Lake in the Dmitrovsky district of Moscow, the Ministry of Ecology and Nature Management of the Moscow Region reports.
It is noted that birds were noticed by environmental inspectors who monitor the situation by the natural monument Nerskoye, Krugloye, Dolgoye, and their immediate surroundings. According to the inspectors, a flock of swans flew to Lake Krugloye, which had not been seen there since the middle of the 20th century. The specialists did not come close so as not to frighten the birds. This species is not listed in the Red Book, but is rare and needs protection.
