New AntiCovid Drug Production Started in Russia

The production of anti-COVID 19 immunoglobulins based on the blood plasma of those who had been ill began in Russia, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko.

“Production has begun in Russia, it is now necessary to increase it, and it will definitely require plasma. This is an anti-COVID immunoglobulin – this is already a highly concentrated drug that allows neutralizing the virus, and it, of course, is of the highest priority in comparison with anti-COVID plasma,” Murashko said during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

He clarified that monotherapy with certain drugs does not always give a full effect, so doctors usually choose to include a combined treatment.
