New Buildings Homebuyers’ Incomes Increased in Moscow Region 2020

The share of female flats buyers in new buildings in the Moscow region with an income of 100-150 thousand rubles increased by 6 pp, to 21 per cent, over the past year, TASS reports with reference to the study conducted by the ‘Samolet’ development group of companies. The assets of 7 per cent of women are in the range from 1 to 2 million rubles. Mostly they are employed in the fields of trade and medicine.  

In turn, 27 per cent of male buyers of housing in new buildings have an average monthly income of 70-100 thousand rubles. Most of the men who buy a flat in a new building are middle managers in the areas of trade and construction. As for women, most often they buy a flat for a child, parents, or other family members. So, the share of female buyers of flats without children decreased by 7 percentage points over the year (from 58 to 51 per cent).

In addition, the share of buyers of furnished flats in new buildings increased over the year from 10 to 13 per cent. A quarter of the customers are interested in partial furnishings, only in the kitchen and bathroom. In turn, only 8 per cent of women are interested in purchasing a parking space, while among men this share reaches 12 per cent. It is specified that 44 per cent of flat buyers live in their own housing, while 29 per cent rent a flat.
