The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs is developing a new city system for the recognition of suspects and criminals using video cameras, RBC reports. It will be able to find criminals by voice and even walk.
It is planned that the Federal Information System for Biometric Accounting will be launched before the end of 2021. Thanks to artificial intelligence, it will be possible to recognize a person by tattoos.
The system will be developed as part of the Safe City state program in Moscow. Testing the system will be one of the projects of the “regulatory sandbox” for the development of artificial intelligence.
