AVTOVAZ began accepting pre-orders for the new LADA Largus which includes three models: a passenger station wagon (from 690.9 thousand rubles in a 5-seater version and from 817.9 thousand rubles in a 7-seater version), Cross-version (from 865.9 thousand rubles in a 5-seater version) and a van (from 685.9 thousand rubles), according to the press service of the automaker.

It is noted that an updated connecting rod-piston group, a modernized crankshaft and a gas distribution mechanism were introduced on the new base engine (1.6 litres, 8 valves). As a result, power is increased to 90 hp and 80 per cent of the torque is already available at 1000 rpm, which helps to reduce fuel consumption and switching frequency.
It is specified that LADA Largus became the first joint project of AVTOVAZ and Renault. All engines use RON 92 gasoline and work in conjunction with a 5-speed manual transmission, power steering and rear drum brakes. The car was specially designed for Eastern Europe but for Russia it received an additional reinforced chassis and improved corrosion protection.
