Specialists of the Superjob job search service conducted a survey and found out that 36 per cent of Russians consider love to be more important than a career. Interestingly, men in Russia are more likely to have such opinions than the country’s female residents (40 per cent and 29 per cent, respectively).
It is specified that among women the situation is not so clear. They are only slightly more likely to prefer love to a career (33 per cent and 31 per cent). Anyway, for men everything is precise – feelings are in the first place among men of all ages, while among Russian women this position is popular only until the age of 34 (for Russians of 35-44 years old, career is in the first place).
In addition, women with an income of 80 thousand rubles more often choose a career, than women with a lower income, while among men with a high income level, love still has a slight advantage.
As noted, in the 8 years that have passed since a similar SuperJob study conducted in 2013, the positions of love in this question have pretty much passed (by 9 pp.), and the positions of career have only strengthened (by 6 pp.).
