The Nizhny Novgorod region will receive a subsidy from the federal budget in the amount of 448.12 million rubles. The money will be spent on free hot meals for primary school students, NewsNN reported with reference to the official order of the Russian government.
Earlier, the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, gave instructions to provide pupils of grades 1-4 with free hot meals from September 1, 2020. Now, by order of the Prime Minister of Russia, Mikhail Mishustin, all 85 regions of the country will receive subsidies. So, in 2020, 22 billion rubles will be allocated for hot meals in schools, and in 2021-2022, 113 billion rubles.
It is specified that free meals for children from 1 to 4 grades will also be in all schools of the Nizhny Novgorod region from September 1, 2020, according to the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region Gleb Nikitin. And according to the official document, stating the amount of money to be allocated in every region, Nizhny Novgorod will receive over 448 million rubles for this purpose.
