The Nizhny Novgorod region entered the top 10 Russian constituent entities in terms of rates and volumes of housing commissioning in firs half of the 2020 year, NewsNN reported with reference to the press service of the regional government.
The Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin, said that construction work almost did not stop in the region due to the coronavirus pandemic. He noted that the construction of houses is an important part of the economic development of the region. In total, over the first six months of this year, 708.5 thousand square metres of housing were commissioned there, which is 9.2% more than in the same period in 2019. It is specified that the rate of housing commissioned in the region is 16% higher than the average for Russia.
