In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the three-month period of validity of electronic travel cards was cancelled, NewsNN reports. According to the decision made in connection with the introduction of remote education, all unused trips are valid for an unlimited time.
It is noted that the decision applies to all travel passes that pupils and students use from the beginning of the school year. Both school and student passes can be issued for 20, 40, and 60 trips. The estimated cost of a trip is 10 rubles on any route. Those who often use transport can purchase an unlimited travel pass for a month.
Previously, if a student had unused trips, they could not be transferred to the next period or prolonged, so a new travel card had to be purchased. Now, if, due to the transition to distance learning, a student did not manage to use up the purchased trips, then in January 2021 he can extend his travel pass and use it to pay for travel.
