Scientists from Nizhny Novgorod have invented a new method for producing photocatalysts for the oxidation of organic compounds for air and water purification and have already received the corresponding patent, according to the press service of the Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod.
The new method was created by the staff of the Faculty of Chemistry of the Lobachevsky State University (Doctor of Chemistry, Professor Larisa Smirnova, Ph.D., Associate Professor Evgenia Salomatina, and graduate of the Department of Macromolecular Compounds and Colloidal Chemistry Yulia Volkova). It is noted that the new invention makes it possible to obtain materials that are used to purify wastewater and air from bacteria and various organic substances.
