Deputies of Bashkiria considered a bill to limit the sale of alcohol on New Year’s holidays.
It is said that the document provides for a ban on the retail sale of alcohol on January 3 and sale restrictions on January 4, 5 and 6. These measures will not affect the sale of alcohol in the provision of catering services.
Vice-speaker of the State Assembly of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Rustam Ishmukhametov, confirmed the need for restrictive measures with analytical data from forensic medical examinations.
In the republic, from January 1 to 3, alcohol poisoning became the main cause of death, and from January 5 to 7, most cases of alcoholic psychosis were revealed.
