Novosibirsk Biathlete Won World Championship Race in Austria

Denis Irodov, an 18-year-old student of the Novosibirsk biathlon complex, won the Biathlon World Championship in the individual race (12.5 km with four firing lines) in the city of Obertilliach (Austria), the press service of the International Biathlon Union in Russia reports.

It is noted that among the highest awards of the young athlete today are two silver medals of the III Winter Youth Olympic Games which took place in 2020 in Lausanne, Switzerland. In the Austrian race, the Siberian overcame the distance in 36 minutes 35.6 seconds. French biathlete, Edgar Geny, finished second (+32.4 seconds) and Austrian Leon Kienesberger (+32.7) finished third.
