The Novosibirsk Region was recognized the leader in the production of sausages in the Siberian Federal District at the end of 2020, the press service of the Federal State Statistics Service for the Novosibirsk Region (Novosibirskstat) reports.
The Novosibirsk Region occupies a leading position in the Siberian Federal District for the production of sausages (about 30.5 per cent of the total). In 2020, the region produced 69.5 thousand tonnes of sausages (12.2 per cent more compared to 2019). It is specified that the largest share was made by boiled sausages, including stuffed ones (61.9 per cent). It is also noted that the main producers of sausages are large and medium-sized enterprises. Small businesses account for only 4.6 per cent of manufactured products.
