Computer literacy and digital skills of teachers in the Novosibirsk region were assessed by Yandex experts, VN.ru reports. Almost 4 thousand people from the region took part in the study. As a result, 70 per cent of the surveyed middle school teachers and 68 per cent of primary school teachers successfully passed the tests. Also, more than half of teachers (66 per cent) have achieved success in the development of creative thinking.
“We conduct such study almost every year in order to understand the condition of teachers and in the future offer them tools and opportunities that will help them in their work or teach them something new. Regular conversation with a teacher helps to get a complete picture: to see what skills are lacking, to determine the zones of growth,” the CEO of Yandex in Russia, Elena Bunina, said.
Based on the results of the tests, teachers received recommendations and materials for the development of their competencies. In March 2021, teachers are invited to join the new free diagnostics of competencies, the third intensive course “I am a Teacher”. There, they will be able to test their skills as successful professionals, as well as IT competence and ability to deal with difficult children’s behaviours.
