The deputies of the Omsk City Council supported the proposal of the City Hall to support businesses affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Then the mayor’s office developed a package of proposals that could help businesses survive the corona-crisis, om1.ru reports.
It is noted that land and real estate tenants from industries most affected by the pandemic were temporarily exempted from payments. Individual entrepreneurs are allowed to reduce payments for 2019, and organizations, for 2020. The business areas most affected by a coronavirus got a 25% reduction in the land tax.
There was also introduced a tax reduction for entrepreneurs on the property of individuals from 1% to 0.5% for the period of 2019 for buildings with an area of more than 5 thousand square metres, and a full exemption from rent for the municipal property, except for residential premises, from March 28, 2020. Tenants receive a deferral of payments from March 17 to October 1, 2020.
