At the end of last year, the enterprises of the Orenburg region shipped products worth 800 billion rubles, as reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Head of the Region Denis Pasler.

“Last year, regional enterprises shipped products worth 814 billion rubles, for four months of this year, products have been shipped by 377 billion, or 40 per cent more compared to the same period last year,” Pasler said.
It is noted that the country recorded an increase in the performance of transport and the agro-industrial complex. Thus, the industrial production index last year was 96 per cent. In addition, more than twenty large investment projects are being implemented in the region. Pasler also noted that the John Deere Rus company has chosen the region to consolidate all its production sites in Russia and invested 1.4 billion rubles in the project, so 210 new jobs have been created there. The volume of annual production increased from 350 to 1,000 units of equipment.
In addition, the first Russian joint venture “New Oil Production Technologies” for the development of hard-to-recover hydrocarbon reserves was created in the Orenburg region which includes the group of companies “Gazprom Neft”, “Lukoil”, and “Tatneft”. Also, problematic enterprises are resuming their work, and, in addition, a territory of advanced social and economic development has been created, the residents of which are already 20 companies. Currently, the work is underway to create an “Orenburg Region” special economic zone.
“We have prepared sites for 380 hectares in Orenburg and 180 hectares in Orsk and have developed a mechanism for obtaining resident status. Based on the results of preliminary negotiations, eight investors are ready to implement their investment projects who will invest almost nine billion rubles in new enterprises. Our real task is to multiply the volume of attracted investments,” Pasler said.
