Otkritie Bank’s Corporate Loan Portfolio Exceeded 1 Trillion Rubles

The volume of loans issued by Otkritie Bank amounted to more than 1.2 trillion rubles, which is 27 per cent higher than the result of 2019. Funds in corporate clients’ accounts as of January 1, 2021, reached 0.6 trillion rubles showing an increase of 22 per cent. The number of client companies of a large corporate segment in the bank exceeded 10 thousand, the press service of the bank reports.   

In 2020, the team of the corporate investment block of the bank, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, offered customers products that would smooth out market volatility and minimize client risks. In 2020, the volume of interest rate hedging increased by 56 per cent, foreign exchange hedging grew by 21 per cent, hedging of commodity prices (coal, gold) exceeded USD 600 million. Also, the bank’s share in the Russian physical gold market increased from 19 per cent to 23 per cent.

According to the Head of the Corporate and Investment Block of the bank, Viktor Nikolaev, in 2020 the share of active clients was increased to 71 per cent. It is noted that the bank has implemented more than 100 projects worth 85 billion rubles using the programmes of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Construction and many others. In addition, the bank is one of the top 4 credit institutions working with the industry and financing developers in 33 regions of the country.
