Over 12 Thousand Muscovites Became Volunteers

Over 12 thousand Muscovites have registered as volunteers of the project “We Are Together”, the deputy mayor of Moscow, Natalia Sergunina, said.

According to Natalia, the aim of the action is to help older people, large families, and other citizens who need support during the period of self-isolation. Volunteers will buy and deliver food, medicine, and essentials. Two operational call centres have already received 55 thousand calls.

Every day, experts process about 650 applications. It is stated that there are even more people who want to help than those who need it. Volunteers have to undergo distance learning and coaching, after which they receive personal protective equipment and begin to work.
